Public Ethics

JAMB: Journal Akademi Manajemen Bisnis Kendari is a peer-reviewed journal published twice a year by Akademi Manajemen Bisnis Kendari. A peer-reviewed journal reflects the quality of published articles. Therefore, it is essential to uphold ethical standards for all parties involved in the publishing process, including authors, editors, reviewers, publishers, and the wider community. This journal follows the ethical standards set by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) (visit: https://publicationethics.org/).

JAMB is committed to ensuring that all stages of advertising, reprints, and other commercial revenues have no influence on editorial decisions. In addition, the Editorial Board will assist in communication with other journals and/or publishers where necessary.

Publication Decisions

The editor of JAMB: Journal Akademi Manajemen Bisnis Kendari is responsible for deciding which submitted articles should be published. The validation of the work and its importance to researchers and readers must always guide such decisions. Editors may be guided by the journal’s editorial policies and constrained by legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. Editors may consult with other editors or reviewers when making decisions.

Fair Play

Editors evaluate manuscripts based on their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.

Confidentiality

Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, editorial advisors, and the publisher, as appropriate.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor’s own research without the explicit written consent of the author.

Editors

Editors are responsible for determining which submitted articles should be reviewed and published. They must evaluate manuscripts based solely on intellectual merit without discrimination.

Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to unauthorized parties. Unpublished materials must not be used without written consent from the author. Information obtained through peer review must remain confidential.

Reviewers

Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and in improving manuscripts through communication with authors. Manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviews should be conducted objectively, and personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.

Reviewers who feel unqualified to review a manuscript should notify the editor and withdraw from the review process.

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that has been previously reported should be supported with appropriate citations. Reviewers must inform editors of any substantial similarity or overlap between manuscripts.

Authors

Authors must present original research. Data and citations must be accurate. Fraudulent or inaccurate statements are considered unethical.

Plagiarism in all forms, including copying, paraphrasing without attribution, or claiming others’ work, is unacceptable and constitutes unethical publishing behavior.

Authors should not submit the same research to more than one journal. Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions. Authors must disclose any significant errors in their work and cooperate with editors to correct or retract the article when necessary.
